What better time than now?

So after 10 1/2 hours of sleep, I woke up sick. I guess all this running around with no sleep has overtaxed my system. Pardon me while I go see how much snot one person can produce before I drag my sorry ass off to work.

So Scott Stapp was in a car accident and Creed has cancelled the U.S. leg of their tour. Then one of my co-workers found an article last night which said that Scott wasn't actually injured in the crash, according to the police report filed. Curious, no?

It's definitely an Apple Jacks morning.

It's been a super-long 14 1/2 hour day at work, so I'm postponing this round of Blogger Insider until the weekend. Honestly, I'm busy. This is such a good thing. I've been in town for only a little over 2 months, and my social calendar is already filling up to the point where I'm out several nights a week.

Time to install large amounts of liquor in my mainframe, then watch "Sports Night" and go to sleep.

Nintendo is hiring 50 people to play video games all summer, and will pay them $100 a day to do it. Do you realize how much of a feeding frenzy this is going to cause? Remember what it looked like in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when the Golden Tickets started coming out? I've got a golden game cartridge...

Additionally, Matt Groening says he'll soon call it quits for "The Simpsons." I've been saying for years that the show's been going downhill and they ought to just close it gracefully before it completely jumps the shark, but I've been vilified as a heretic every time I've said this to anyone.

Random music stuff:

- I've never been able to reconcile this: I hear a group who I think is great and I wish more people knew about them, so I want radio to play their songs. Finally, radio gets ahold of them but they completely overplay their music to the point of being burned to more of a crisp than toast on Venus. So then I wish radio wouldn't play them. It's a neverending cycle. Maybe it'd be better if radio stations didn't kill things so quickly, or maybe I just need to develop a longer timespan that I can listen to a song.

- When I was standing in line waiting to go through the security checkpoint at Coachella, I saw some people passing out free magazines, and the guys standing in front of me took a copy. They were leafing through it and saw a plastic record attached inside as an insert -- kind of like those subscription cards. They didn't know what it was. They were asking "hey man, what do I put this in? It looks too big for a CD player, I don't think mine'll play that." Has the world forgotten about albums?
