What better time than now?

So I had this long entry all typed out, and now it's gone. I have no clue what happened to it. And that both frightens and enrages me! [ahem] Either way, I accomplished almost everything I had set out to do this weekend, which pleases me. I work my ass off for three days, then I drive out to Tucson to take my first day off since the Trip From Hell in October when I moved my parents out there. This is sorely needed time off. If I don't get a break for a couple of days, I think I'm going to run down Sunset Boulevard, spraying people with fuchsia paint from a high-powered Supersoaker. MTV is killing 120 Minutes, they're changing it into some lame-ass show called Subterranean. How sad... the end of an era. They're probably shortening it to an hour to fit in more Real World and Road Rules reruns, but 60 Minutes was already taken and copyrighted, so they couldn't use that name.

Yes, it's Eve's birthday... (Go Eve, it's your birthday, it's your birthday [doing the butter-churn thing with my arms]) Inundate her inbox with love and birthday wishes and then spike her site's hitrate with birthday love, why don't you? Show your appreciation for her continued existence on this earth, dammit!

Okay, so the audition. It went okay, but I get the feeling that they're looking for someone with higher range than mine. They'll let me know next week if I make callbacks. So, a week or so ago, The Daily Show did an excellent bit where they paired up 2003-era President George W. Bush in a debate vs. 1999-era Governor and Presidential-candidate George W. Bush. Of course, it's recorded bits from previous televised things, but it's still incredibly amazing to see how much Georgie has completely contradicted himself and done exactly what he said in 1999 he wouldn't do. You must watch it. Click here to see it. I have so much work to do this weekend... I have to edit two other people's columns for next week's issue of the paper I work for, then I have to write an article comparing XM and Sirius satellite radio services. Plus, it's Eve's birthday! Go tell her happy birthday and then buy her lots of cool things.
