So. George Thorogood came into my office yesterday. And he brought Canter's Deli food with him for lunch! But that's besides the point. He played a few songs for us (including "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer") and talked with us for a while. He was extremely gracious, very down-to-earth, a great storyteller, very humble and very funny. It was amazing to see this man and talk with him and have him sign my CD and have my picture taken with him after hearing his music for years -- especially since "Bad to the Bone" is instantly recognizable all over the country and probably the world by a single guitar riff. He's a legend, and he's an incredible guitarist and performer.

The guitar was incredible. George had it signed by people he'd worked with and played with, and the names on there blew my mind. B.B. King, Robert Cray, Neil Young, Jeff Beck, Muddy Waters, Rick Derringer (who is actually coming to my office next week)... the list goes on and on. It was, for lack of other words, incredible.

Unfortunately, in every single picture we took where he's posing with someone from our office... George had his eyes closed. I made the suggestion to a co-worker that we Photoshop some eyes in onto his face.
