Los Angeles is subject to something called the "June Gloom," which basically means that every morning and every evening during the month of June, clouds roll in off the water and it looks like it's going to rain. It makes things a little hard for me because I am kind of affected by weather and clouds outside equals clouds in my brain. Or my haziness could just be the fact that I was up until 2AM last night again. Either way, it's completely wreaking havoc with my weather sense, since I look up and my New England instincts tell me that it's going to rain, but the natives are assuring me that it's not. I'm inclined to agree with the natives since they know better and plus, in the almost-four months that I've been here, it's only rained once no matter how much it looked like it was going to. It's just something else to get used to, I suppose.
