For someone who is not a morning person, waking up this early — especially when it’s on my own without help from an alarm — is not only painful, it’s also cruel & unusual punishment. And not only is it 7:15am, but I’ve been up for an hour already. Considering I didn’t get to sleep until 2am last night, oh yeah… today’s going to hurt.
But tomorrow morning, I hop in the car and make my way out to Las Vegas for the weekend, and you have no idea how much I’m looking forward to it and also to seeing my best friend. And the funny thing is that I’m going to make things hard on myself at the beginning of next weekend — we’re both going to the festivities involved with the Radio Music Awards, including an industrywide party on Sunday night. I’m planning on going to this party to see friends and drink with my best friend, which means I can’t drive the four hours home that night… can you see where I’m going with this? Right — in order to make it back to Los Angeles for work on Monday morning, I’m going to spend Sunday night in Las Vegas, wake up around 5am on Monday morning and then drive straight back to work and put in a full day in the office. I think today is going to hurt? I have no idea what I’m in store for… and the hell of it all is that I’m doing this willingly.
